\u201cYes, We KENya!\u201d aims to give its contribution in fostering cooperation between Europe and Kenya by\u00a0promoting activities that enhances the quality and recognition of youth work to favor youth empowerment\u00a0as a way to address social challenges. The project aims to create a pool of 21 trainers able to use NFE\u00a0methodology to promote active citizenship, social inclusion and democratic values in different contexts.<\/p>\n
Youth often encounter difficulties in accessing education, employment, social protection and full access to\u00a0civil and political rights, limiting their potential. There is a great need for specific protection to tackle\u00a0discrimination against the youth and to remove the barriers that stop them from accessing their rights. Also in Italy and Spain, despite the European diffusion of several programmes for youth participation, there is\u00a0still the need to work and educate youth in active participation in society through NFE.<\/p>\n
Considering young people as strategic players in the future of society, the purpose of \u201cYes,WeKENya!\u201d is\u00a0creating a sustainable cooperation between Africa and Europe in the youth field through activities that will\u00a0train Kenyan, Italian and Spanish young people to become active players, promoting active citizenship,\u00a0social inclusion and democratic values in different contexts.<\/p>\n
Participation in the activities will allow young people:

\n\u25cf To increase their cultural baggage
\n\u25cf To develop soft skills and competence on using IT platform for online education
\n\u25cf Learning to learn, manage, mediate, solve conflicts and difficult situations
\n\u25cf To work in teams and in interpersonal contexts
\n\u25cf To practice active listening and mutual respect
\n\u25cf To develop mediation skills and critical thinking
